Resolution 11760 RESOLUTION NO. 11760 WHEREAS it is a well-known fact that thousands of visitors to the South Florida area are residents of the cities of New York, Boston, Philadelphia, and the New England area, and WHEREAS, these visitors are vital to the economy of the City of Miami Beach, and WHEREAS Northeast Airlines has faithfully served this route for nine years and, WHEREAS , Northeast Airlines has devoted a major portion of its advertising budget to the promotion of our area and our city; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, that the Civil Aeronautics Board be urged and requested to permanently certificate Northeast Airlines on the route between New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Washington and Greater Miami , and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Miami Beach also favors the certification by the Civil Aeronautics Board of any other airlines which it may consider necessary for the service of this area. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that appropriate arrangements be made so that the City of Miami Beach will be represented at the hearing before the Civil Aeronautics Board Examiner in Washington,D.C. , on April 11 , 1966.
