Resolution 12385 RESOLUTION NO. 12385
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 11991 , dated December 14, 1966, the City
Council of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, for itself and on behalf of
the citizens of the City of Miami Beach had occasion to express formally
its sense of abiding appreciation to R. Wm. L. Johnson, upon the occasion
of his retirement, for his more than 33 years of loyal , devoted and
unremitting service, and
WHEREAS, thereafter, on September 25, 1967, the City of Miami Beach
had occasion to recall the said R. Wm. L. Johnson from his retirement to
aid and assist the City of Miami Beach in a time of need for his exceptional
knowledge and abilities in the administration of the City's business, and
WHEREAS, with characteristic unselfishness and loyalty, at great
personal and financial sacrifice to himself, he forthwith responded to the
call of duty and again devoted his skills and energy to the immeasurable
benefit of the City in the post of Acting Assistant City Manager, continu-
ously to the present time,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that it now and again reiterates and renews its
formal expression of appreciation to the said R. Wm. L. Johnson, as set
forth in said Resolution No. 11991 , for his exemplary services as Acting
Assistant City Manager for the period from September 25, 1967, up to
March 29, 1968, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a suitably engraved copy of this Resolution
be presented to the said R. Wm. L. Johnson, as a lasting memorial of
sentiment herein expressed.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 20th day of March, 1968.
