Operation Clean Sweep continues to be a proactive enhanced enforcement effort
specifically targeting public disorder types of violations during the peak periods in the
Entertainment District. Since its inception on April 16, there have been 383 arrests and
2045 moving citations issued. The 383 arrests have included 13 for excessively loud
radios, 13 for urinating or defecating in public, 79 for open containers, and 80 for
prostitution. The continuation of this targeted patrol initiative is vital to achieving a
sustainable improvement in the quality of life for our residents in the surrounding
neighborhood.
