Resolution 12430 RESOLUTION NO. 12430
WHEREAS the Planning Commission of the City of
Miami Beach, at a meeting duly held and convened on April 23, 1968,
recommended to the City Council of the City of Miami Beach
that certain existing school sites be acquired by the City of
Miami Beach for public use, and that the same be utilized
either for recreational areas or related municipal facilities,
as may be feasible and practicable, and
d EA3 the City Council of the City of Miami Beach
has also found and determined that such action on behalf of
the City of Miami Beach would be of enduring benefit to the
residents and citizens of the City of Miami Beach,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that said
recommendations of the Miami Beach Planning Commission be and
the same is hereby acknowledged and approved, and that it is
the consensus of the City Council of the City of Miami Beach
that said school properties should be acquired with all reasonable
and possible dispatch and that upon their acquisition that the
same shall be utilized for municipallpark and recreational
purposes, and shall be held for said purposes so long as such
use shall be feasible and practical.
