Resolution 12469 RESOLUTION NO. 12469
WHEREAS, the Economic Opportunity Act of 1964,
as amended, (42 U.S.C. 2781) , provides for "Community
Action Agencies" (C.A.A. ) , which are charged with the
responsibility of formulating "Community Action Programs" ,
and
WHEREAS the City Council of the City of Miami
Beach, Florida, deems it to be in the best interest of
said City, its residents and inhabitants, that said City
be included and participate in a program of the proposed
"Community Action Agencies" as set forth in a communication
from the County Manager of Metropolitan-Dade County,
Florida, to the Mayor of the City of Miami Beach, Florida,
under date of May 10, 1968,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that
the said County Manager and the Community Actions Program
Administrator be, and they are hereby duly advised and
informed that the City of Miami Beach, Florida, desires
to be included in the program of the proposed "Community
Action Agency.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that duly certified
copies of this resolution be transmitted to said officials
and to all other interested governmental agencies .
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 3rd day of July , 1968.
