Resolution 12482 RESOLUTION NO. 12482
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Miami Beach,
has been requested to agree to the use of the Ida M. Fisher ,
Junior High School for the third and fourth years of the
extension of Florida Atlantic University to the City of
Miami Beach, until 1972; and
WHEREAS , there will be no expense to the City in
connection therewith; and
WHEREAS , the Dade County School Board will take such
action as necessary to assure the City that Ida M. Fisher ,
Junior High School will not be phased out until 1972 , and
it has been agreed that the Dade County School Board will
not ask for payment from the City pursuant to Resolution
No. 12429 until said time; and
WHEREAS , the location of the extension of Florida
Atlantic University to the City of Miami Beach is deemed to
be to the best interest of the City, its residents and
citizens ,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the
foregoing request on the terms and conditions set forth
herein be , and the same is hereby granted , and the Mayor
and the City Council and Finance Director be, and they are
hereby authorized and directed to execute any documents in
the name of and on behalf of the City of Miami Beach to
carry out the intent hereof.
