Resolution 12501-A RESOLUTION NO. 12501
WHEREAS Bernard Passman has donated to the City of
Miami Beach and to its citizens and residents an artistic
creation aptly denominated the "Republican Presidential Tree" ,
which creation memorializes each Republican president of the
United States, and
WHEREAS this artistic production is novel in
conception, bold and forthright in execution, and inspiring
to the imagination, and will constitute an unending source
of interest and attraction to young and old, visitor and
resident, and will be placed among the prized artistic possessions
of the City of Miami Beach,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that it does
hereby formally accept said gift and donation of this
"Republican Presidential Tree" , and does hereby, for itself
and for all the residents of the City of Miami Beach, express
sincere and lasting appreciation to Mr. Bernard Passman for
his generosity in this matter, and he is hereby formally
assured that the City of Miami Beach will preserve this addition
to its artistic possessions and will so display the same that
no one will be deprived of the opportunity of enjoying the
inspiration which will be perpetually exemplified by the same.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 4th ‘ day of September, 1968.
