Resolution 11796 RESOLUTION NO. 11796
WHEREAS Standard Brands, Inc. , manufacturers of
Fleischmann's Margarine, in recognition of the 50th Anniversary
of the City of Miami Beach has graciously and unostentatiously,
but at great expense, cooperated with the City of Miami Beach
to make said Anniversary a successful and memorable occasion by
donating to the City the mammoth birthday cake located on the
approaches to the City' s Convention Hall, and
WHEREAS said birthday cake, by reason of its beauty and
good taste, has been one of the most attention-compelling
spectacles which the City has been enabled to proffer to its
citizens and tourist guests during the progress of said
Anniversary Celebration, and
WHEREAS the City of Miami Beach has therefore been the
recipient of invaluable publicity and good will,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA that Standard Brands, Inc. ,
manufacturers of Fleischmann's Margarine, be and it is warmly
commended for its contribution to the success of the celebra-
tion of the 50th Anniversary of the City of Miami Beach and
that this Resolution be presented to Standard Brands, Inc. as
formal evidence of the deep and warm appreciation of the City
Council of the City of Miami Beach, Florida and its citizens
and residents for the generous contribution of the said
birthday cake.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 16th day of March, 1966.
