Resolution 11802 RESOLUTION NO. 11802
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA that the Metropolitan Dade County Board of
Commissioners be and it is hereby duly and formally advised
that it is the consensus of said City Council that the need for
additional public ocean front beaches, both within and without
the corporate limits of the City of Miami Beach, is urgent,
immediate and imperative, before existing available beach front
properties are completely pre-empted, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Miami Beach, Florida that it is the plain and manifest duty and
obligation of Dade County, rather than the City of Miami Beach,
to acquire and maintain such additional public beaches for the
entire population of Dade County.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 8th day of April, 1966.
