RESOLUTION NO. 12516
WHEREAS, the Republican National Convention was held in
the City of Miami Beach on August 4, 1968 through August 9,
1968, and
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach had the esteemed honor
of hosting said Convention, Convention Delegates, and the
illustrious GOP Convention Nominees, and
WHEREAS , the City of Miami Beach, as a result of the
Convention, has been the recipient of invaluable publicity and
good will, and
WHEREAS , Miami Beach will long enjoy the historical
significance of such an event;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Republican Party
be, and it is hereby highly commended for its diligent planning,
organization and superlative success of the Convention.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that an appropriate certified
copy of this Resolution be presented to Ray Bliss, Chairman of
the Republican National Committee.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 4th t day of September , 1968.
