Resolution 11809 RESOLUTION NO. 11809 WHEREAS Isaac Bousley, a former employee of the City's Engineering Department, sustained injuries in the course of his employment for which he was entitled to benefits under the Workmen's Compensation Act, and has received such benefits, and WHEREAS said employee and his attorney have offered to accept a lump sum settlement in full and complete satisfaction and discharge of the City from the City' s liability under said Act, and WHEREAS the City Attorney has heretofore advised the City Council that the said offer of said employee called for the payment of the sum of $1, 000.00 to the said employee, repre- senting a 12% permanent partial disability, and an attorney' s fee of $500.00, and the City Council duly approved and author- ized the acceptance of said offer of settlement, and WHEREAS the said offer of settlement actually called for the payment of $1, 500.00 to the said employee instead of the sum of $1, 000.00, and WHEREAS the City Attorney and the City's Insurance Manager have duly recommended the acceptance of said offer of full settlement, and WHEREAS the City Council of the City of Miami Beach, Florida deems it to be to the best interest of the City and its residents that the said offer of settlement be accepted, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA that the said settlement offer of the said Isaac Bousley calling for the payment of the sum of $1, 500.00 to the said employee and $500.00 as an attorney' s fee to the attorney for the said employee, be and the same is here- by accepted and the proper financial officers of the City be and they are hereby authorized and directed to make the payments called for by said offer of settlement.
