Resolution 11818 RESOLUTION NO. 11818
WHEREAS Mrs. Alvin B. Cutler, 7675 S. W. 128th Street,
Miami, Florida, in memory of her husband, Alvin B. Cutler, has
voluntarily presented her collection of Platycerium and other
rare ferns to the City of Miami Beach, and
WHEREAS the said Platycerium collection consists of a num-
ber of large outstanding specimen plants and represents the
loving labor of almost three decades, and represents a monetary
value of great proportions, and
WHEREAS this gracious gift has brought and will continue
to bring, not only to the people of the City of Miami Beach but
to the countless number of its visitors and tourists, sensa-
tions of profound pleasure and a lasting appreciation of the
incomparable beauty reflected by said collection,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA that the said City Council, for
itself and on behalf of its citizens and residents, does hereby
express its grateful acknowledgment of the generosity of the
said Mrs. Alvin B. Cutler for making such contribution to the
City, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA that an appropriate copy of this Resolution
be transmitted to the said Mrs. Alvin B. Cutler.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 13th day of April, 1966.
