Resolution 11837 RESOLUTION NO. 11837
WHEREAS Junior Chamber International, Inc. , a Florida non-
profit corporation, has requested the City to lease unto it for a
period of ninety-nine (99) years the following demised premises,
situate and being in the City of Miami Beach, Dade County, Florida:
Bounded on the easterly side by a line parallel
to and 100 feet westerly of the easterly line
of Washington Avenue;
Bounded on the westerly side by a line parallel
to and 52 feet westerly of the above described
easterly boundary;
Bounded on the southerly side by a line parallel
to and 20 feet northerly of the southerly line
of Lincoln Lane;
Bounded on the northerly side by a line parallel
to and 15 feet southerly of the southerly line
of 17th Street produced westerly;
As said avenue, street and lane are shown and
designated on Plats recorded in Plat Book 2,
Page 77 and Plat Book 34, Page 66 of the Public
Records of Dade County, Florida and as said
Washington Avenue is named and designated in
Ordinance No. 303 and as said 17th Street is
named and designated in Ordinance No. 232 .
and,
WHEREAS said demised premises are to be used for the estab-
lishment of the World Headquarters and Secretariat of the said
Junior Chamber International, Inc. , and
WHEREAS the City Council deems it to be for the best inter-
ests of the residents and citizens of the City of Miami Beach
that such Ninety-nine Year Lease be entered into, and
WHEREAS the City Attorney has prepared an appropriate Ninety-
nine Year Lease setting forth the terms and conditions of said
Lease with which the City Council is familiar.
NOW; THEREFORE; BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA that the Mayor and the City Clerk
be and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute the said
Ninety-nine Year Lease with the said Junior Chamber International,
Inc. for and in the name of the City of Miami Beach.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 18th day of May, 1966.
