Resolution 11838 RESOLUTION NO. 11838
WHEREAS, DADE COUNTY, a political subdivision: of the State of
Florida, has entered into an agreement with the Government of the
United States of America for the operation of a Neighborhood Youth
Corps project, under the provisions of the Economic Opportunity
Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 508) ; and
WHEREAS, Dade County, as sponsor, is authorized under the
terms of the aforesaid agreement to enter into sub-agreements with
sub-sponsors for the performance of a portion of the said project;
and
WHEREAS, Dade County, as sponsor, and the City of Miami Beach,
as sub-sponsor, have determined that they wish to enter into such
sub-agreement, with the terms of which the City Council is familiar;
and
WHEREAS, it is deemed to the best interest of the City of
Miami Beach to enter into such sub-agreement;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and the City Clerk
be and they are hereby authorized to execute the said sub-agreement
in the name of and on behalf of the City of Miami Beach with Dade
County for the operation of a portion of a Neighborhood Youth
Corps project.
