Resolution 12542 RESOLUTION NO. 12542 WHEREAS, on the 9th day of October, 1968, the City of Miami Beach, Florida, did enter into an agreement with Florida Professional Sports , Inc. , as "Promoter" , whereby the said "Promoter" was granted the right to hold thirty (30) Miami Floridians Professional Basketball Games in the Miami Beach Convention Hall, for the period commencing November 6, 1968 and ending on April 2 , 1969, with the right of first refusal for three (3) additional games during the period of April 6, 1969 to and including April 8, 1969, and WHEREAS the City Attorney has approved an amendment to said agreement, regarding radio and television charges which would affect the amount of revenue the City would realize from any radio or television rights prior to the final execution of the agreement, with the terms of which agreement and amendment the City Council is familiar, and WHEREAS it is deemed to be in the best interest of the City of Miami Beach to execute the said agreement; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, that the Mayor and the City Clerk-Finance Director be and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute the said agreement in the name of and on behalf of the City of Miami Beach, Florida.
