A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE CERTIFICATE OF THE
CITY CLERK / ND FINANCE DIRECTOR AS TO THE NUM3ER
OF FREEHOLDERS ' UALIF IED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE
SiECIAL ELECTION TO 3E HELD ON NOVEMBER 5, 1968
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 100.241 of Florida Statutes, 1965, the
City Clerk and Finance Director, as Supervisor of Registration, in and for
the City of Miami beach, Florida, has determined from the records of his
office the number of freeholders appearing on the registration books and
has executed his Certificate to the effect that 9,055 freeholders are
qualified to participate in the Special Bond Election ordered by the City
Council of said City of Miami Beach to be held on the 5th day of November,
1968, and
WHEREAS, said City Clerk and Finance Director, as Supervisor of
Registration, has prepared a list of qualified electors appearing on the
registration books of said City who are determined to be freeholders residing
in said City of Miami Beach and entitled to participate in said election, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of said City of Miami Beach has examined said
Certificate and said list;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1 : That said list of freeholders who are qualified electors so
submitted by the City Clerk and Finance Director, as Supervisor
of Registration, be and the same is hereby approved in all respects.
SECTION 2: That it is hereby found, ascertained, determined and declared
that in making up said list of qualified freeholders such
investigation has been made as warrants the conclusion that all names appearing
on said list are qualified to vote in said election and that said list is
a complete list of all electors who are qualified to vote in such election as
of this date.
SECTION 3: That the City Clerk and Finance Director of said City of Miami
Beach is hereby authorized and directed to furnish to the Clerks
and Inspectors at every voting place where said election is to be held, a
copy of said list of qualified freeholders residing in said City who are
entitled to participate in said Special Election
PASSED and ADOPTED this 4th day of November, 1968.
