Resolution 11871 RESOLUTION NO. 11871
WHEREAS under the Federal Workable Program for Community
Improvement a Citizens Advisory Committee for Community Improve-
ment has been constituted by the City Council of the City of
Miami Beach, and
WHEREAS the said Citizens Advisory Committee for Community
Improvement is composed of a membership of ten (10) persons,
and
WHEREAS it is the desire of the City Council of the City
of Miami Beach, Florida to make the said Citizens Advisory Com-
mittee even more representative in scope than it is at present,
and
WHEREAS it is deemed by the City Council of the City of
Miami Beach, Florida that a membership consisting of seventeen
(17) persons rather than the present membership of ten (10)
persons, with tenure unchanged, will better accomplish such
purpose,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA that the said Citizens Advisory
Committee for Community Improvement heretofore constituted be
composed of seventeen (17) persons, which members shall be
appointed by having each member of the City Council designate
two (2) persons, which persons shall be appointed by the City
Council as a member of said Committee, and the City Council
shall, in addition to the fourteen (14) persons so appointed,
elect three (3) additional persons by majority vote, and that
the said Citizens Advisory Committee shall perform the duties
and responsiblities which devolve upon such Committee under the
Workable Program for Community Improvement.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 22nd day of June, 1966.
