Resolution 11884 RESOLUTION NO. 11884
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida, deems it to be necessary for the welfare of said City
and the inhabitants thereof, to acquire for public highway
purposes portions of the following described parcels of land
situate, lying and being in Miami Beach, Dade County, Florida,
to wit:
Lot 335 of First Ocean Front Subdivision,
according to the amended plat thereof,
recorded in Plat Book 9, at page 78 of the
public records of Dade County, Florida;
AND
Lots Nos. 4, 16, 17 and 19, all in Block 2,
of Second Ocean Front Subdivision, according
to the amended plat thereof, recorded in
Plat Book 28, at page 28 of the public records
of Dade County, Florida.
The portions so required and being the subject
matter of this resolution being shown by the maps
on file in the City Engineer' s office pertaining
to the widening of Collins Avenue northward of
54th Street.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that it is necessary that the fee
simple title to the portions of the above described property so
required be acquired for use and maintenance for public highway
purposes for the benefit of said City and its inhabitants; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Attorney be and he
is hereby authorized and directed to institute the necessary legal
proceedings in the name of said City in the exercise of its right
of eminent domain for the condemnation of said parcels for said
purpose.
