A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE EXTENSION
OF THE CONTRACT BETWEEN COLLOREDO
ASSOCIATES, INC. AND METROPOLITAN
DADE COUNTY FOR COORDINATION OF THE
FEASIBILITY SURVEY FOR THE SOUTH
SHORE URBAN RENEWAL AREA.
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 12177, the City Council of the City
of Miami Reach delineated the South Shore Feasibility Survey Area
and declared said area a slum or blighted area and further declared
that rehabilitation, conservation or redevelopment of said area is
necessary and that redevelopment is to be for predominantly residential
re-use; and
WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Dade County Department of Housing and
Urban Development in cooperation with the City of Miami Beach, has
caused to be prepared the necessary elements of a Feasibility Survey
for the South Shore Area (Fla. R-20 F.S.); and
WHEREAS, the Dade County Department of Housing and Urban Development
and the Consultant, Colloredo Associates, Inc. , request that their
original 180 calendar day contract be extended by 90 calendar days in the
interest of providing more productive results from the said Feasibility
Survey;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, concurs with the amendment to the contract
between Metropolitan Dade County and Colloredo Associates, Inc. ,
providing for a 90 calendar day extension.
