Resolution 12602 RESOLUTION NO. 12602
WHEREAS the CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, is the owner
in fee simple of the property commonly known as Flamingo Park,
situate and being in the City of Miami Beach, Florida, and
WHEREAS THE BOARD OF PUBLIC INSTRUCTION OF DADE COUNTY,
FLORIDA, is desirous of using the facilities therein for student
activities as in the past, and in substantially the same manner
as set forth in an agreement between the parties dated April 13, 1953,
and
WHEREAS the CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, and THE
BOARD OF PUBLIC INSTRUCTION OF DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA, are mutually
desirous of entering into an agreement for the continued use by
THE BOARD of said facilities for student activities for an
additional ten-year period, commencing September 1, 1968 and
ending August 31, 1978 ; and
WHEREAS the City Attorney has prepared a lease agreement
with the terms of which the City Council of the City of Miami Beach
is familiar, and
WHEREAS the City Council deems it to be in the best
interests of the City of Miami Beach to enter into said agreement,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Miami Beach, Florida, that the Mayor and the City
Clerk-Finance Director be and they are hereby authorized and
directed to execute the said agreement for and in behalf of the
said City.
