Resolution 11929 RESOLUTION NO, 11929
WHEREAS the City Council of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida is considering amending Section 4-D of Ordinance No.
289, commonly known as the "Zoning Ordinance of City of Miami
Beach, Florida" , by adding the following to Paragraph 5 of said
Section 4-D, to-wit:
"All apartment hotels of over 200
units, as the term apartment hotels
is defined in Section 1 of Zoning
Ordinance 289 of the City of Miami
Beach, shall be allowed to have, as
accessory uses for their tenants
only: Dining rooms, restaurants,
coffee shops, stock brokerage
offices, tobacco stands and news
stands, and all other accessory
uses presently permitted under Sec-
tion 4-D as it applies to REA Mul-
tiple Family Districts, provided,
however, any such room or facility
provided for herein or in the Use
Regulations of Section 4-D of Ordi-
nance 289 shall be entered only
from within the building in the
same manner and subject to the same
requirements, restrictions and con-
ditions as hereinabove provided for
service facilities in hotels of 100
or more guest rooms, and no sign,
advertisement or other appearance
or indication of such accessory use
or uses shall be visible at any
time or in any manner from any pub-
lic street, avenue, walk or public
way. "
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA that a public hearing be and the
same is hereby called to be held on the 26th day of October,
1966, at 11:00 o'clock A. M. in the Cypress Room of the Miami
Beach Convention Hall, 1700 Washington Avenue, Miami Beach,
Florida, for the consideration of said amendment.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be and he is
hereby directed to give fifteen (15) days notice of the time,
place and object of said hearing by public notice thereof,
published in the Miami Beach Daily Sun, a newspaper of general
circulation in said City.
