Resolution 11942 RESOLUTION NO. 11942
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida recognizes that in order to attain the optimum orderly
growth and development for the City of Miami Beach, Florida for
the benefit and welfare of its citizens, it becomes necessary to
adopt guidelines for such orderly growth and development; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the direction of the City Council,
the Development Commission and the firm of Stutsman, Kennelly,
Neidigh & Associates have formulated and presented to the City
Council on the 16th day of May, 1966 Phase One (Inventory And
Analysis) and Phase Two (Plan Formulation) of a Comprehensive
Development Plan for the City of Miami Beach, Florida, a true and
correct copy of each of which is attached hereto and incorporated
by reference; and
WHEREAS, said Phase One and Phase Two have been based
upon citizen participation and recognized professional standards
in the field of urban development, the said Phase One and Phase
Two having been considered by the City Council of Miami Beach;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that Phase One and Phase Two of the
Comprehensive Development Plan for the City of Miami Beach, Florida,
presented to the City Council on the 16th day of May, 1966 be,
and the same are hereby, adopted as the Official Comprehensive
Development Plan for the City of Miami Beach, Florida; and
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that said Official Comprehensive
Development Plan for the City of Miami Beach, Florida, shall be
continuously reviewed, revised and updated .
PASSED and ADOPTED this 21st day of September, 1966.
