RESOLUTION NO. 11948
WHEREAS the United States of America desires to amend an
existing lease between it and the City for the use of a certain
wharf area which is fully described in said lease by the United
States Naval Reserve, whereby the terminal date of said lease
is extended from June 30, 1968 to June 30, 1978, with the right
of either party to terminate said lease upon thirty (30) days
notice, and
WHEREAS the City Council of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida is familiar with the terms and provisions of said pro-
posed amendment and deems it to be in the best interest of the
citizens and residents of the City of Miami Beach that said
amendment be agreed to, and
WHEREAS the City Attorney has approved the said proposed
amendment as to form;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA that the Mayor and the City
Clerk be and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute
said proposed amendment to the existing lease for and on behalf
of said City.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 21st day of September, 1966.
