Resolution 11953 RESOLUTION NO. 11953 WHEREAS, the proposed Charter Amendment No. 4 provides for a change in Civil Service status (Classi- fied to Unclassified) for certain positions, and clarifies other existing Unclassified positions; and WHEREAS, it is not the intent of the City Council or the Administration to adversely affect the Civil Service status of any incumbent employee performing in that Civil Service position; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that, in implementing the provisions of Charter Amendment No. 4, that any present Civil Service position incumbent will not be changed to an Unclassified status without (1) the express written approval of the incumbent; or, (2) the incumbent ' s desire, in writing, to be transferred from Classified to Unclassified; or (3) the position is vacated, for any reason, in accordance with Civil Service rules, regulations or normal attrition, and thence becomes, in accordance with the Charter, an Unclassified position.
