Resolution 11957 RESOLUTION NO. 11957
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida, deems it to be in the best interest of the City,
and its citizens, residents and taxpayers that Metropolitan
Dade County take over the maintenance services of the public
beach areas of the City of Miami Beach; and
WHEREAS, the County Commissioners of Dade County,
Florida are willing to cooperate with the City in this regard,
contingent, however, upon receiving from the City of Miami
Beach the basic equipment necessary for said operation; and
WHEREAS, it is deemed to be in the interests of economy
and efficiency to effectuate this transfer of equipment for
said purpose;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the basic equipment
for the maintenance services of the public beach areas of
the City of Miami Beach, of the total estimated value of
$5, 200.00, to wit:

be and the same hereby are transferred and turned over to
Metropolitan Dade County, free and clear of any encumbrances,
and that the City Attorney prepare such instruments as are
necessary to effectuate said transfer.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a certified copy of this
resolution be transmitted to the County Commissioners of Dade
County, Florida.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 5th day of October, 1966.
