Resolution 11960 RESOLUTION NO. 11960 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, has been advised that the Senate of the United States has passed Senate Bill 3708, being the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1966, and that the bill (House of Representatives Bill No. 15890) is now before the House of Representatives of the Congress of the United States for consideration; and WHEREAS, the City Council deems it to be in the best interest of the City of Miami Beach to endorse the bill now before the House of Representatives in Washington, D. C. , and, in particular, that portion of the bill which deals with Demonstration Cities; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that House of Represen- tatives Bill No. 15890 of the Congress of the United States is hereby endorsed as being in the best interest of the citizens, residents and inhabitants of the City of Miami Beach, and the said City Council urgently recommends to the House of Representatives that said bill be passed, including that portion of the bill which deals with Demonstration Cities . BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that certified copies of this resolution be sent to all Senators and Members of the House of Representatives representing the State of Florida in the Congress of the United States, and to Hon. Robert C. Weaver, Secretary of the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
