A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF
AGREEMENT BETWEEN MIAMI-DADE COMMUNITY
COLLEGE , DOWNTOWN CAMPUS , AND THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH FOR USE OF FLAMINGO PARK FOR
BASEBALL GAMES COMMENCING JANUARY 15, 1975
TO MAY 1 , 1975 .
WHEREAS , Miami-Dade Community College, Downtown
Campus , has requested the use of Flamingo Park for baseball
games covering a period commencing January 15, 1975 to May 1,
1975 , on certain specified dates during said period, which
dates are set forth in the schedule attached hereto and made a
part hereof; and
WHEREAS , the Dade County School Board has advised
the City that the said schedule does not conflict with its
authorized use of the same facility; nor will said schedule
interfere with any City sponsored activity during said period;
and
WHEREAS , a proposed agreement between Miami-Dade
Community College, Downtown Campus , and the City of Miami Beach
has been prepared, and approved as to form by the City Attorney
and which proposed agreement requires the furnishing of general
public liability insurance; and calls for the reimbursement to
the City of costs of lighting facilities , and for reimbursement
to the City for the expense of supplying necessary personnel
during such period; and
WHEREAS , the City Council is fully advised in the
premises and deems it to be in the best interests of the City
and its residents ;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor
and the City Clerk be and they are hereby authorized and directed
to execute and deliver the said agreement in the name of and on
behalf of the said City.
