A RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR A TEN PERCENT
INCREASE IN SALARY TO PHYSICIANS EMPLOYED
IN CITY OF MIAMI BEACH FIRE RESCUE
SERVICES FOR ONE YEAR OR LONGER, TO
BECOME EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 1975.
WHEREAS , Ordinance No. 1906 , providing for emergency
medical services to be provided by licensed physicians accompany-
ing Fire Rescue personnel, was adopted by the City Council of
the City of Miami Beach, pursuant to a vote of the electorate on
November 2 , 1971 , and
WHEREAS , the City Council of the City of Miami Beach
is desirous of providing a ten percent increase in salary to
said licensed physicians who have been employed in Fire Rescue
Services for one year or longer, and to those members of the
medical staff who will in the future be employed for one year or
longer in Fire Rescue Services , said compensation to therefore
increase by an annual amount of Three Thousand Dollars ($3, 000 . 00) ,
as based on a ten percent increase of the annual compensation of
Thirty Thousand Dollars ($30 , 000. 00) , and
WHEREAS , the City Council of the City of Miami Beach
deems it to be in the best interest of the said City, its
citizens and residents , to provide the increase as hereinabove
set forth;
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that said licensed physicians
who have been employed in Fire Rescue Services for one year or
longer, and those members of the medical staff who will in the
future be employed for one year or longer in Fire Rescue Services ,
be and they are hereby provided with a ten percent (10%) increase
in salary as hereinabove set forth, to become effective
January 1 , 1975 .
