SUBJECT: Indian Creek Greenway Public Design Meeting
The purpose of this Letter to Commission is to inform the City Commission that the Public
Works Department of the City of Miami Beach in conjunction with Craven Thompson and
Associates is hosting a Public Design Meeting for the Indian Creek Greenway project. The
purpose of the meeting is to gather community input in order to develop a greenway masterplan
concept that improves the landscape aesthetics and pedestrian experience along the Indian
Creek waterway. The greenway project includes the restoration and enhancement of the
landscape buffer along the waterway with the introduction of a diverse, low-maintenance,
tropical, Florida friendly, naturalized, and native plant palette that encourages the return of the
area's natural fauna, and to promote the ecology of the waterway for the benefit of the general
public.
The meeting will be held on January 8, 2019 at the Miami Beach Senior High School, from
6:00pm to 8:00pm.
