Resolution 76-15018 RESOLUTION NO. 76-15018 A RESOLUTION APPROVING VERDICTS OF COMPENSATION FOR ACQUISITION OF PROPERTIES TO BE ACQUIRED BY THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, ON THE WEST SIDE OF COLLINS AVENUE, BETWEEN 79TH STREET AND 87TH STREET , MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA. WHEREAS , on October 4 , 1972 , the City Council of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, adopted Resolution No. 13775, which authorized institution of condemnation proceedings for the acquisi- tion of the fee simple title to those certain parcels of land between 79th Street and 87th Street, on the west side of Collins Avenue, Miami Beach, Florida, for parks and recreational purposes , for the benefit of said City and its inhabitants , and WHEREAS , pursuant to said Resolution No . 13775, appro- priate condemnation proceedings were instituted in the Circuit Court, in and for Dade County, for said purpose, and WHEREAS , subsequent to the institution of said proceedings , negotiations took place which resulted in settlements for purchase of all parcels of land involved therein except for the following described parcels , to wit: PARCEL NO. 11 Lot 3 , Block 13 , ALTOS DEL MAR SUB NO. 2 , according to the plat thereof recorded in Plat Book 4., at Page 162 , of the Public Records of Dade County, Florida; Commonly known as 8528 Collins Avenue. PARCEL NO 23 Lot 3, Block 15, ALTOS DEL MAR SUB NO. 2, according to the plat thereof recorded in Plat Book 4 , at Page 162 , of the Public Records of Dade County, Florida; Commonly known as 8328 Collins Avenue. PARCEL NO. 24-25 Lots 4 , 5 and 6 , Block 15 , ALTOS DEL MAR SUB NO. 2, according to the plat thereof recorded in Plat Book 4 , at Page 162 , of the Public Records of Dade County, Florida; Commonly known as 8300-8316 Collins Avenue. PARCEL NO. 26 Lot 1, Block 17 , ALTOS DEL MAR NO. 1, according to the Corrected Plat thereof recorded in Plat Book 31 , at Page 40, of the Public Records of Dade County, Florida; Commonly known as 8240-8248 Collins Avenue. PARCEL NO. 33 Lot 2 , Block 18 , ALTOS DEL MAR NO. 1, according to the Corrected Plat thereof recorded in Plat" Book 31, at Page 4'0 , of the Public Records of Dade County, Florida; Commonly known as 8140 Collins Avenue. (No moving costs involved. ) PARCEL NO. 33 $96 , 250 for the value of the land, and $1,467.15 as moving costs; the total sum being $97 , 717 .15. Farrell , Special Counsel for the City, have each recommended to the City Counciltthat the acceptance of said verdicts of compen- sation is financially advantageous to the City and in its best interests, and (44, l t1 -ae't. -y-2-. OFFICE OF THE CITY ATTORNEY — 1130 WASHINGTON AVENUE — MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA 33139 WHEREAS , the City Council of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, has duly considered said verdicts of compensation and said recommendations , and now being fully advised in the premises, it is , therefore, RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that said verdicts of compensation, as hereinbefore recommended, be and the same are hereby accepted, and the City Attorney be and he is hereby authorized and directedto take all legal steps necessary to effectuate and execute said verdicts of compensation; and the proper financial officers of the City be and they are hereby authorized and directed to make all payments required by law hereby and hereunder.
