A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN AMENDMENT TO THE
EXISTING LEASE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH AND THE VOCATIONAL INDUSTRIAL
CLUBS OF AMERICA.
WHEREAS , the CITY OF MIAMI BEACH entered into a Lease
Agreement with the VOCATIONAL INDUSTRIAL CLUBS OF AMERICA, dated
April 17, 1974, for VICA Leadership Conference, and
WHEREAS, said VOCATIONAL INDUSTRIAL CLUBS OF AMERICA has
requested an amendment to said existing lease agreement to provide
that they will delete the use of the Auditorium on June 16, 1976
from 8 : 00 a.m. to Noon as set forth in said contract and will change
June 13, 1976 from move in to rehearsal date in the Convention Hall
South, and
WHEREAS , all other terms and conditions of the existing
agreement shall remain the same except there will be an additional
cost of Seven Hundred Fifty and no/100 ($750. 00) Dollars due for
Convention Hall South and a reduction of payment for deletion of
Auditorium of Three Hundred Fifty and no/100 ($350. 00) Dollars ,
thus making an additional amount of Four Hundred and no/100 ($400 . 00)
Dollars due on agreement; therefore, payments shall read as follows :
"Five Hundred and no/100 ($500. 00) Dollars payable
upon signing of contract, receipt whereof is
hereby acknowledged; One Thousand and no/100
($1,000 . 00) Dollars payable on July 2, 1975 , receipt
whereof is hereby acknowledged; Two Thousand and
no/100 ($2,000. 00) Dollars payable on January 2,
1976, receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged;
Three Thousand Two Hundred Fifty and no/100
$3,250 . 00) Dollars payable on .June 11, 1976; and
any balance due payable on June 24 , 1976 . "
and
WHEREAS, a letter, signed by the Executive Director of the
Miami Beach Convention Center, dated April 1, 1976, amending the
existing agreement between VOCATIONAL INDUSTRIAL CLUBS OF AMERICA,
and CITY OF MIAMI BEACH has been mailed to and accepted by said
VOCATIONAL INDUSTRIAL CLUBS OF AMERICA;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the letter dated April 1, 1976,
signed by the Executive Director of the Miami Beach Convention
Center, amending the existing agreement between VOCATIONAL INDUSTRIAL
CLUBS OF AMERICA and CITY OF MIAMI BEACH be and the same is hereby
accepted and approved in the name of and on behalf of said CITY.
