A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AMENDMENT TO LEASE
AGREEMENT BETWEEN CITY OF MIAMI BEACH AND
CHRIS DUNDEE ENTERPRISES, INC . , TO PROVIDE
FOR A CHANGE IN RENTAL RATE.
WHEREAS , the CITY OF MIAMI BEACH entered into a lease
agreement with CHRIS DUNDEE ENTERPRISES , INC. , dated January 27,
1975, to produce boxing and wrestling events in the Miami Beach
Convention Center through September 30 , 1977; and
WHEREAS , CHRIS DUNDEE ENTERPRISES , INC. has requested
that said agreement be amended from the present terms , which call
for rental rate to be paid on a graduated scale from 12% to 14%,
to a standard rental rate of $650 minimum guarantee or 12% of the
gross receipt, after taxes , whichever is greater, for each event;
and
WHEREAS , all other terms and conditions of the existing
lease agreement shall remain the same; and
WHEREAS , the Executive Director of the Miami Beach
Convention Center recommends that said amendment be approved;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the agreement between the
City of Miami Beach and Chris Dundee Enterprises , Inc. , to
produce boxing and wrestling events in the Convention Center
through September 30, 1977, be and the same is hereby amended
from a graduated scale from 12% to 14% , to a standard rental rate
of $650 minimum guarantee or 12% of the gross receipt, after
taxes , whichever is greater, for each event.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 28th day of Apri 1 1976.
