RESOLUTION NO. 76-15031
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION AND DELIVERY
OF AGREEMENTS BY AND BETWEEN CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH AND THE MIAMI BEACH REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
AND ENVIRONMENTAL PLANNING INSTITUTE, INC. , A
FLORIDA CORPORATION; AND JOHN B. DYKSTRA
ASSOCIATES ; AND WITH E . M. SCHAFFRAN & CO. ,
A CALIFORNIA CORPORATION.
WHEREAS , the City- Council of the City of Miami Beach
heretofore created the Miami Beach Redevelopment Agency, under
the authority of Chapter 163, Florida Statutes, and
WHEREAS, the City and said Agency desire to enter into
contracts with Environmental Planning Institute, Inc. , a Florida
corporation, to guide, advise and consult with the City and the
Miami Beach Redevelopment Agency in the preparation and formulation
of a redevelopment plan as authorized by said Chapter 163, Florida
Statutes; and with John B. Dykstra Associates, for advice, con-
sultation and guidance, for the operation of the Miami Beach
Redevelopment Agency; and with E . M. Schaffran & Co. , a California
corporation, for their advice, guidance and consultation with
the City and the said Redevelopment Agency for creating and
evolving the relocation plans as required by said Chapter 163, and
WHEREAS, the contracts have been prepared for execution
by the City of Miami Beach, the Miami Beach Redevelopment Agency
and said Consultants for said services , and the City' Council being
familar with the termsand provisions of said respective contracts,
and
WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Miami Beach Redevelop-
ment Agency have recommended that said contracts and agreements be
entered into by the City of Miami Beach, and
WHEREAS, the City Council duly finds and determines that
the entry into and execution and delivery of said agreements is in
the best interests of the City of Miami Beach, its citizens ,
residents and taxpayers;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and City Clerk
of the City of Miami Beach be and they are hereby authorizeddand
directed to execute and deliver said contracts with Environmental
Planning Institute, Inc. , a Florida corporation; and with John B.
Dykstra Associates; and with E . M. Schaffran & 'Co. , a California
corporation; and that the financial officers of the City of
Miami Beach be and they are hereby authorized and directed to
make the necessary financial disbursements required of the City •
under and pursuant to the provisions of •said agreements .
