A RESOLUTION APPROVING AGREEMENT AND AUTHORIZ-
ING EXECUTION OF SAID AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH AND SOCIAL RESEARCH CONSULTANTS,
INC. , FOR IDENTIFICATION AND EVALUATION OF
SOCIAL SERVICES DELIVERY SYSTEM, NEEDS AND
RESOURCES , SO AS TO COMPLETE THE FISCAL YEAR
1975 - 1976 , 701 COMPREHENSIVE PLANNING PROGRAM.
WHEREASv. in order to complete the Fiscal Year 1975 -
1976, 701 Comprehensive Planning Assistance Program, the City of
Miami Beach desires to enter into an appropriate agreement for
identification and evaluation of social service delivery system,
needs and resources of the City of Miami Beach, and
WHEREAS , the. City of Miami Beach desires to utilize the
services of Dr. Robert A. Ladner, PH.D. , Director of Social
Research Consultants , Inc. , to assist in said study at a total
' cost of $7,500 , and
WHEREAS , on May 19 , 1976, the City Council of the City
of Miami Beach held a public hearing on said proposed agreement,
and at the conclusion of said hearing, said City Council, being
familiar with the provisions thereof, approved said agreement
and authorized the execution thereof, a copy of said agreement
being attached hereto and made a part hereof, and
WHEREAS , the City Attorney has approved the said
agreement as to form, and the City Manager has recommended that
the City Council enter into the same;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and the City
Clerk be and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute
said agreement in the name of and on behalf of the City of Miami
Beach, and the disbursing officers of the City be and they are
hereby authorized and directed to disburse the monies required
by the terms of said agreement from funds available for such
purpose.

AGREEMENT•
THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this 19th day
of May , 1976, by and between the CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
5' a Florida municipal corporation, hereinafter referred to as CITY,
which term includes itssuccessors and assigns, and SOCIAL
RESEARCH CONSULTANTS, INC. , of Coral Gables, Florida, a Florida
corporation, hereinafter referred to as CONSULTANT, which term
includes its successors and assigns,
WITNESSETH :
1. In order for the CITY to complete the Fiscal Year
1975. - 1976, 701 Comprehensive Planning Assistance Program, said
CITY desires and intends to have performed an identification and
evaluation of social service delivery system, needs and resources
of the City of Miami Beach.
2. The CITY hereby agrees to utilize the services ,of
said CONSULTANT, and the CONSULTANT hereby agrees to perform said
identification and evaluation of social service delivery system,
needs and resources of said CITY, in accordance with the proposal
of said CONSULTANT, at a fixed fee of Seven Thousand Five
Hundred Dollars ($7,500.00) , as set forth in the Proposal of said
CONSULTANT, to be paid by the CITY to said CONSULTANT in three (3)
equal payments of Two Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($2,500. 00) ,
as follows: the first Two Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($2, 500.00)
upon execution of this agreement; the second Two Thousand Five
Hundred Dollars ($2, 500. 00) at the close of the first month period;
and the third Two Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($2,500.00) at
the close of the second month period; for a total of Seven Thousand
Five Hundred Dollars ($7,500 .00) , as set forth in the Proposal of
said CONSULTANT, a copy of which is attached hereto and by reference
made a part hereof as though set forth in haec verba.

2. All of the obligations and things to be performed by
the CONSULTANT under the said Proposal are to be deemed as a
material part of the consideration for the award of this contract
by the CITY to the CONSULTANT, and all of the obligations of
said CONSULTANT as to the scope of services and objectives to
be performed,. which form the subject matter of this contract,
are deemed and intended by the parties hereto as expressed
warranties.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the said CITY has caused this Agree-
ment to be signed by its Mayor, and its corporate seal to be
affixed, and attested by its City Clerk; and the said CONSULTANT
has caused this Agreement to be executed in its name, by its duly
authorized officers, the day and year first above written.
