A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, COMMENDING WARREN
JURKOWITZ FOR ATTAINING THE GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP
IN THE STATE OF FLORIDA HIGH SCHOOL COMPETITION.
WHEREAS, WARREN JURKOWITZ, a student at Miami Beach Senior High
School has, for the first time in the history of the City of Miami Beach •
and for Miami Beach Senior High School, won the State of Florida High
School Golf Championship, and
WHEREAS, this stellar achievement and accomplishment was
attained only after the display and exertion of true and incomparable
courage and determination, accompanied by a peerless and flawless display
of true sportmanship, and
WHEREAS, the said WARREN JURKOWITZ by his said accomplishment
has brought great fame and honor upon himself, his family, the faculty,
coaches and students of Miami Beach Senior High School, and to every
resident of the City of Miami Beach, and
WHEREAS, the sterling character, the indomitable courage and
stellar sportsmanship will, for years to come, serve as a shining beacon
light of inspiration, not only for his friends and colleagues, but also
for the entire community;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, for itself, and for each individual member
thereof, does hereby express its and their warmest, deepest and most
sincere congratulations to the said WARREN JURKOWITZ for his brilliant
achievement and success in attaining the highest honor attainable in High
School golf competition; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA, and its members, that all those who aided, assisted and
contributed to the success of the said WARREN JURKOWITZ be and they are
hereby likewise warmly and deeply commended for their efforts extended to
the said WARREN JURKOWITZ in achieving his goal under difficulties and
obstacles which would have, overcome a less courageous and determined
exemplar of youthful courage. and fortitude; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA, and by each and every member thereof, that a suitably
engrossed copy of this resolution be presented to the said WARREN
JURKOWITZ , for and on behalf of each and every resident and citizen of the
City of Miami Beach as a permanent and enduring mark of honor and tribute
to the said WARREN JURKOWITZ not only for his achievement of championship
stature but also for his having given to the City of Miami Beach a shining
example of what the personal attributes of loyalty, courage and devotion
may accomplish for all those who seek inspiration for their own individual
accomplishments.
