RESOLUTION NO. 78-15520
A RESOLUTION ENDORSING THE IMPLEMENTATION OF
METRO DADE COUNTY DECADE OF PROGRESS BOND
PROGRAM FOR CONSTRUCTION OF WHITEWAY SYSTEM
ON CERTAIN ARTERIAL HIGHWAYS IN MIAMI BEACH.
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach City Commission has been advised
of the plans of Metropolitan Dade County to proceed with the improvement
street lighting on Pine Tree Drive, Dade Boulevard to 6rd Street;
La Gorce Drive, from 51st Street to 63rd Street; and Arthur Godfrey Road •
from Alton Road to Collins Avenue, through the Decade of Progress Bond
program; and
WHEREAS the City Commission is desirous of having this project pro-
ceed expeditiously for the betterment'and welfare of the citizens of
Miami Beach;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the City Commission hereby endorses said pro-
ject as necessary and expresses its support for this project to be under-
taken in the early part of the year 1978.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the appropriate officials of Metropolitan
Dade County be apprised of the adoption of this resolution by the City
Commission and the endorsement of the proposed streetlighting program.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 4th day of January, 1978.
