A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT
WITH MARY HANSEN TO PROVIDE PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AS A
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE CONSULTANT FOR THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA.
WHEREAS , the City Commission of the City of Miami Beach has
determined that said City is in need of the services of a Technical
Assistant in order to provide assistance to the Community Develop-
ment Division during the application and preparation process leading
to the beginning of the Fourth Grant year, and
WHEREAS , the City Manager has recommended to the City Commission
that the City enter into an agreement with Mary Hansen to provide
such services , said agreement providing for an hourly rate of $6 . 00 ,
not to exceed $8 ,000 for a period of six to nine months with
termination upon fifteen (15) days ' notice by either party in
writing, and
WHEREAS , an appropriate agreement has been prepared by the
City Attorney setting forth the terms and conditions of said
employment with which the City Commission is familiar, and
WHEREAS , the City Commission of the City of Miami Beach deems
it to be in the best interest of the City and its residents and
citizens that said agreement be entered into;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and the City
Clerk be and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute
said agreement with Mary Hansen in the name of and on behalf of
said City, and the disbursing officers of the City are hereby
authorized and directed to disburse the monies required by the
terms of said agreement from Community Development funds of the
City available for such purpose.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 18th day of January, 1978 .
