A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN AMENDMENT TO THE
EXISTING LEASE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH AND SOUTH FLORIDA AUTOMOBILE
DEALERS ASSOCIATION, INC.
WHEREAS, the CITY OF MIAMI BEACH entered into a lease
agreement with SOUTH FLORIDA AUTOMOBILE DEALERS ASSOCIATION, INC. ,
dated November 9 , 1976, and
WHEREAS, said SOUTH FLORIDA AUTOMOBILE DEALERS ASSOCIATION,
INC. has requested an amendment to said existing lease agreement to
provide that the Two Thousand Dollar ($2, 000.00) escrow deposit
paid on said lease agreement be held by the CITY OF MIAMI BEACH in
escrow for future automobile shows, and
WHEREAS, all other terms and conditions of the existing
agreement shall remain the same, except payments will read as
follows:
Two Thousand Dollars ($2, 000 . 00) payable on signing
of contract, receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged
which is to remain in escrow for all future auto-
mobile shows as they are contracted for each year;..
Four Thousand Dollars ($4, 000.00) payable on or
before August 6, 1978; Seventeen Thousand Dollars
($17, 000 . 00) payable on or before September 6 ,
1978; balance for 1978 show payable on or before
November 26 , 1978,
and
WHEREAS, a letter signed by the Director of the Miami
Beach Convention Center, dated December 29 , 1977, amending the
existing agreement between the CITY OF MIAMI BEACH and SOUTH FLORIDA
AUTOMOBILE DEALERS ASSOCIATION, INC. has been mailed to and accepted
by said SOUTH FLORIDA AUTOMOBILE DEALERS ASSOCIATION, INC. ;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the said amendment as set
forth in said letter dated December 29, 1977 , signed by the Director
of the Miami Beach Convention Center, to the existing agreement
between the CITY OF MIAMI BEACH and SOUTH FLORIDA AUTOMOBILE DEALERS
ASSOCIATION, INC. be and the same is hereby accepted and approved
in the name of and on behalf of said CITY.
