RESOLUTION NO. 78-15537
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 73-14128
PROVIDING FOR THE OPERATION AND RATES OF FARE OF THE
LINCOLN ROAD TRAM FRANCHISE, SO AS TO PROVIDE THAT
MALL TRANSPORT, INC. , SHALL BE PERMITTED TO INCREASE
SINGLE FARES FOR TRAM SERVICE ON LINCOLN ROAD MALL
FROM THE PRESENT FIFTEEN CENTS ($. 15) TO TWENTY CENTS
($. 20) AND TO INCREASE THE COST OF TEN (10) - TICKET
BOOKS FROM ONE DOLLAR ($1. 00) TO A DOLLAR AND FIFTY
CENTS ($1. 50) .
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach entered into an Agreement
with Mall Transport, Inc. , for the transporting of passengers along
the Lincoln Road Mall, said Agreement being encompassed within
Resolution No. 73-14128; and
WHEREAS, Mall Transport, Inc. , requests pursuant to
Paragraph 4 (G) of Invitation to Bid No. 76-73 (Amendment No. 2) ,
an increase in the fares for single rides for the operation of
the Lincoln Road Tram;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That Section 3 of Resolution No. 73-14128, now reading
as follows:
RATES OF FARE - That, subject at all times to the
provisions of this resolution and such changes or
modifications as the City Council or such other govern-
mental regulatory or governing authority, commission,
body or agency in which rate regulatory power over the
Grantee may be vested by law may make through the exercise
of its rate regulatory authority, the following rates of '
fare shall govern and control the rendition of vehicular
transportation system service hereunder:
(a) Cash fare for a single trip in the same
general direction between any two (2)
points on said routes shall be fifteen
cents (150) .
(b) The Token System shall be used as a method
of advance sales in multiples as noted for
rides as follows:
10 Tokens for $1. 00
20 Tokens for $2 . 00
be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
