A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, ACCEPTING A
GIFT IN PRINCIPLE FROM THE BARRY KUTUN AND
BART NOTOWITZ FAMILIES IN HONOR OF THE LATE
BART NOTOWITZ .
WHEREAS, on February 1, 1978, members of the Miami Beach
City Commission were advised by Mayor Leonard Haber of the offer
made by the Honorable Barry Kutun on behalf of the family of the
late Bart Notowitz to donate a modern sculpture to the City of
Miami Beach in memory of Mr. Notowitz, and
WHEREAS, the request was duly considered by the Com-
mission;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that said gift be accepted
in principle with the understanding that there will be no restric-
tions placed upon the City with respect to the method of display
or the location of the art work;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that Mayor Leonard Haber be authori-
zed to communicate the acceptance of the gift to the Honorable
Barry Kutun and the Notowitz family, and to express the appreciation
of the City Commission for the generous gift.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 1st day of February, 1978 .
