A RESOLUTION HONORING THE FINE ARTS BOARD FOR
THE UNPRECEDENTED SUCCESS OF THE FOURTH ANNUAL
FESTIVAL OF THE ARTS, TO WIT: PEARL KIPNIS,
FESTIVAL CHAIRPERSON; REITA, EUSTER, SHEILA
HOLLO, MARILYN MEYERSON, NANCY NEWMAN, HELENE
OWEN, CLAIRE PAUL, SOPHIE PRIMAK, LARRY SAMSON,
EVELYN SPITALNY, CARYL UNGER, AND JOSEPH
SUMRALL, FESTIVAL DIRECTOR.
WHEREAS, the Fourth Annual Fine Arts Festival under the
inspired efforts of its dedicated board has brought increased
cultural distinction to the City of Miami Beach, and
WHEREAS, an estimated 200, 000 people were encouraged to
visit and enjoy the festival and to experience the myriad offer-
ings of a City appreciative of its tourism, and
WHEREAS, the festival itself has become a vehicle for
artistic inspiration for many aspiring artists in need of an
audience and a proper environment for presentation, and
WHEREAS, the foregoing has been achieved only because of
the tireless efforts, dedicated devotion, perseverance and loyalty
to the ideals of true art and aesthetic spirit of the people .of
the City of Miami Beach;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that this Commission, on behalf
of all the citizens of this City, do hereby extend to the Director,
to, the Chairperson and to the entire Fine Arts Board, its most
sincere gratitude, its fervent appreciation, and its earnest
congratulations for a job exceedingly well done.
