A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN AMENDMENT TO THE
EXISTING LEASE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH AND RINGLING BROS. & BARNUM &
BAILEY COMBINED SHOWS, INC.
WHEREAS, the CITY OF MIAMI BEACH entered into a lease
agreement with RINGLING BROS. & BARNUM & BAILEY COMBINED SHOWS,
INC. , dated June 21, 1976, and
WHEREAS, said RINGLING BROS. & BARNUM & BAILEY COMBINED
SHOWS, INC. has requested an amendment to said existing lease
agreement to provide that they will release the dates of January
28 through February 9 , 1981 and instead will use the dates of
January 20 . through February 2, 1981 in the facilities thereby
leased, and
WHEREAS, all other terms and conditions of the existing
agreement shall remain the same, and
WHEREAS, a letter, signed by the Director of the Miami
' Beach Convention Center, dated February 6, 1978, amending the
existing agreement between the CITY OF MIAMI BEACH and RINGLING
BROS. .& BARNUM & BAILEY COMBINED SHOWS, INC. has been mailed to
and accepted by said RINGLING BROS. & BARNUM & BAILEY COMBINED
SHOWS, INC. ;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the said amendment as set
forth in said letter dated February 6, 1978, signed by the Direc-
tor of the Miami Beach Convention Center, to the existing agreement
between the CITY OF MIAMI BEACH and RINGLING BROS. & BARNUM & BAILEY
COMBINED SHOWS, INC. be and the same is hereby accepted and approved
in the name of and on behalf of said CITY.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 15th day of March , 1978 .
