A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN AMENDMENT TO THE
EXISTING LEASE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH AND HOLIDAY ON ICE.
WHEREAS, the CITY OF MIAMI BEACH entered into a lease
agreement with HOLIDAY ON ICE, dated June 7, 1977, and
WHEREAS, said HOLIDAY ON ICE has requested an amendment
to said existing lease agreement to provide that they will pay ten
percent (10%) instead of twelve percent (12%) for each performance
as stipulated in the above mentioned contract and as approved by
the City Commission of the City of Miami Beach on February 15,
1978, and
WHEREAS, all other terms and conditions of the existing
agreement shall remain the same, except consideration for use of
the facilities shall be changed to:
Sixteen Thousand Dollars ($16, 000. 00) total
minimum guarantee based on Two Thousand Dollars
($2, 000. 00) or ten percent (10%) for each per-
formance. Lessor has the privilege of accepting
the guarantee or ten percent (10%) of the gross
receipts from sale of admission tickets, after
taxes, whichever sum is the greater for each
performance,
and
WHEREAS, a letter, signed by the Director of the Miami
Beach Convention Center, dated February 21, 1978, amending the
existing agreement between the CITY OF MIAMI BEACH and HOLIDAY ON
ICE has been mailed to and accepted by said HOLIDAY ON ICE;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the said amendment as set
forth in said letter dated February 21, 1978, signed by the Direc-
tor of the Miami Beach Convention Center, to the existing agreement
between the CITY OF MIAMI BEACH and HOLIDAY ON ICE be and the same
is hereby accepted and approved in the name of and on behalf of
said CITY.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 15th day of March , 1978.
