A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREE-
MENT WITH DR. LEO GROSSMAN FOR THE PERFORMANCE
OF DUTIES AS CONSULTANT AND COORDINATOR TO THE
CITY'S PROGRAM PROVIDING FOR EMERGENCY MEDICAL
SERVICES BY THE FIRE RESCUE DIVISION FOR AN
ADDITIONAL PERIOD OF FIVE YEARS EXPIRING JULY
10, 1983 WITH COMPENSATION REMAINING UNCHANGED
AT THE RATE OF $10, 000 . PER ANNUM.
WHEREAS, the, existing agreement between the City of
Miami Beach and Dr. Leo Grossman for the performance of the duties
as Consultant and Coordinator to the City's program providing for
emergency medical services by the Fire Rescue Division as set forth
therein expire on July 10, 1978, and
WHEREAS, the City and said Physician mutually desire to
extend said agreement for an additional period of five (5) years
' ending on July 10, 1983 with the rate and manner of compensation
of $10, 000 per annum to remain unchanged, and
WHEREAS, an amendment to said agreement has been pre-
pared accordingly by the City Attorney, and the City Commission
being familiar with the terms thereof, and
WHEREAS, the City Commission finds that it is in the best
interests of the City and its citizens that said amendatory agree-
ment be entered into;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and City Clerk be •
and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute said amenda-
tory agreement and the finance officers of the City be and they are
hereby authorized and directed to make the payments thereby required.
