A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AMENDMENT TO THE
EXISTING LEASE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH AND AMERICAN COLLEGE OF
CARDIOLOGY.
WHEREAS, the CITY OF MIAMI BEACH entered into a lease
agreement with AMERICAN COLLEGE OF CARDIOLOGY, dated October 24,
1973, which provides for the use of the North and South Halls and
the ,North and South Hall Meeting Rooms of the Miami Beach Conven-
tion Center, for the event known as Convention, commencing March
10, 1979 through March 15, 1979, and
WHEREAS, said AMERICAN COLLEGE OF CARDIOLOGY has requested
an amendment to said agreement whereby they will change the dates
of use of the foregoing facilities and will now be as follows:
North Hall
Mar. 7-11, 1979 Move In ) Commencing 8 a.m. , Mar.
Mar. 12-15, 1979 to Noon-Show ) 7, 1979 and terminating
Noon, Mar. 15-17, 1979Move Out) Midnight, Mar. 17, 1979 .
South Hall
Mar. 8-11, 1979 Move In ) Commencing 8 a.m. , Mar.
Mar. 12-15, 1979 Meetings) 8, 1979 and terminating
Mar. 16, 1979 to NoonMove Out) Noon, Mar. 16, 1979 .
North & South Hall Meeting Rooms
Mar. 7-11, 1979 Move In ) Commencing 8 a.m. , Mar.
Mar. 12-15, 1979 Meetings) 7, 1979 and terminating
Mar. 16, 1979 to 5 p.m.--Move Out) 5 p.m. , Mar. 16, 1979 .
and
WHEREAS, said AMERICAN COLLEGE OF CARDIOLOGY has requested,
in addition to the above, the use of the Theater of the Performing
Arts of the Miami Beach Convention Center on March 12, 14 and 15,
1979 from 8: 00 a.m. to 1: 00 p.m. and on March 13 , 1979 from 8 : 00
a.m. to 5: 30 p.m. , at an additional cost of Five Thousand Dollars
($5, 000. 00) per day for March 12, 14 and 15, 1979 and Two Thousand
Dollars ($2, 000. 00) for March 13, 1979, and
WHEREAS, all other terms and conditions of the existing
agreement shall remain the same, except that payments will now
read:
Two Thousand Dollars ($2, 000. 00) payable upon signing of
contract, receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged; Two
Thousand Dollars ($2, 000. 00) payable on or before Feb-
ruary 7, 1979; Thirteen Thousand Dollars ($13, 000.00)
payable on or before March 7, 1979; and balance due
payable on or before March 15, 1979, n
and
WHEREAS, an appropriate amendment, signed by the said
AMERICAN COLLEGE' OF CARDIOLOGY and approved as to form and legal
sufficiency by the City Attorney, is attached hereto and made a
part hereof, the provisionsof which are familiar to the City
Commission;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the amendment to the exist-
ing lease agreement as set forth herein be and the same is hereby
accepted and approved in the name of and on behalf of said CITY.
