A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT
BETWEEN METROPOLITAN DADE COUNTY AND CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH FOR THE COMPREHENSIVE DRUG ABUSE
PROGRAM, PROVIDING FOR INCREASE IN FUNDS TO
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH.
WHEREAS, an Agreement was heretofore entered into
between Metropolitan Dade County and the City of Miami Beach on
June 22, 1977 for the implementation of the State of Florida Drug
Abuse Program, and
WHEREAS, said Agreement is in full force and effect, but
it is deemed necessary to amend the same so that page 1, paragraph
1 and Article VII, page 2 of said Agreement be amended by deleting
the dollar amount expressed and substituting therefor the sum of
$85, 068 and that said Agreement as hereby amended shall continue
to be in full force and effect, and
WHEREAS, the City Attorney has approved said Amendment
to Agreement as being proper in form and substance, and
WHEREAS, the City Commission deems it to be in the best
interests of the City and its citizens and residents to enter into
said agreement;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and City Clerk be
and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute said Amend-
ment to Agreement in the name of and on behalf of the City of
Miami Beach.
