A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION AUTHORIZING
EXECUTION AND DELIVERY OF AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH AND WALLACE, MC HARG,
ROBERTS AND TODD, URBAN AND ECOLOGICAL PLANNERS,
FOR PROFESSIONAL AND CONSULTANT SERVICES FOR A
CITY-WIDE RECREATION AND OPEN SPACE MASTER PLAN
AND A MASTER PLAN FOR FLAMINGO PARK.
WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida, at its regular Commission meeting held on April 5, 1978,
accepted the proposal of Wallace, McHarg, Roberts and Todd, Urban
and Ecological Planners, for professional and consultant services
in the preparation of a City-wide Recreation and Open Space Master
Plan and a Master Plan for Flamingo Park, and
WHEREAS, an appropriate agreement has been prepared
wherein it is provided and agreed that said firm shall perform
the said services for a total compensation of $60, 000 payable
' solely and exclusively from Community Development Block Grant
funds granted to the City by the Department of Housing and Urban
Development, and
WHEREAS, said proposed agreement sets forth other pro-
visions germane and relevant to the performance of said agreement
and the compensation payable therefor with which the City Commis-
sion is familiar, and
WHEREAS, said agreement has been approved as to legal
form and sufficiency and has been recommended by the City Manager;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that said Commission finds that
it is in the best interest of the City of Miami Beach, its citizens,
residents and taxpayers that said agreement be entered into;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and City Clerk be and they
are hereby authorized to execute and deliver the said agreement for
and in the name of the City, and that the administration execute and
perform all of the terms and provisions of said agreement as there-
in provided.
