RESOLUTION NO. 78-15662
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AMENDMENT TO THE
EXISTING LEASE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH AND NATIONAL RECREATION
AND PARK ASSOCIATION.
WHEREAS, the CITY OF MIAMI BEACH entered into a lease
agreement with NATIONAL RECREATION AND PARK ASSOCIATION, dated
December 19, 1973, amended June 3, 1977 and February 6, 1978,
which provides for the use of the North and South Hall and the
North and South Hall Meeting Rooms of the Miami Beach Convention
Center commencing October 12, 1978 through October 18, 1978 for
the event known as The 1978 Congress for Recreation and Parks, and
WHEREAS, said NATIONAL RECREATION AND PARK ASSOCIATION
has requested an amendment to said agreement whereby they will add
October 19, 1978 as a Move Out date in the North Hall at no addi-
tional cost, thereby making use of the dates in the North Hall as
follows:
Oct. 12-14, 1978--Move In (Commencing at 8 a.m. , Oct.
Oct. 15-17, 1978--Show (12 , 1978 and terminating at
Oct. 18-19, 1978--Move Out (12 midnight, Oct. 19 , 1978)
and
WHEREAS, all other terms and conditions of the existing
agreement shall remain the same, and
WHEREAS, an appropriate amendment, signed by the said
NATIONAL RECREATION AND PARK ASSOCIATION and approved as to form
and legal sufficiency by the City Attorney, is attached hereto and
made made a part hereof, the provisions of which are familiar to
the City Commission;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the amendment to the exist-
ing lease agreement as set forth herein be and the same is hereby
accepted and approved in the name of and on behalf of said CITY.
