A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AMENDMENT TO THE
EXISTING LEASE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH AND MIAMI BEACH MUSIC AND
ARTS LEAGUE.
WHEREAS, the CITY OF MIAMI BEACH entered into a lease '
agreement with MIAMI BEACH MUSIC AND ARTS LEAGUE, dated May 23, •
1978, which provides for the use of the Theater of the Performing
Arts of the Miami Beach Convention Center, for six concerts com-
mencing December, 1978 through April, 1979, and
WHEREAS, said MIAMI BEACH MUSIC AND ARTS LEAGUE has
requested an amendment to said agreement whereby they will use the
Theater on December 9 instead of December 12, 1978 for its show
and they will add the date December 8, 1978 for a rehearsal at an
additional charge of One Thousand Dollars ($1, 000. 00) , making the
total minimum guarantee Seven Thousand Dollars ($7, 000 . 00) , and
WHEREAS, all other terms and conditions of the existing
agreement shall remain the same except that payment for the Decem-
ber 8 rehearsal and the December 9 show shall now be Two Thousand
Dollars ($2, 000. 00) payable on or before December 8, 1978 and any
balance due on said show shall be payable five (5) days after the
show, and
WHEREAS, an appropriate amendment, signed by the said
MIAMI BEACH MUSIC AND ARTS LEAGUE and approved as to form and
legal 'sufficiency by the City Attorney is attached hereto and made
a part hereof, the provisions of which are familiar to the City
Commission;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the amendment to the
existing lease agreement as set forth herein be and the same is
hereby accepted and approved in the name of and on behalf of said
CITY.
