A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AMENDMENT
TO LEASE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH AND THE AMERICAN CHEMICAL SOCIETY, DATED
MAY 31, 1977.
WHEREAS, the CITY OF MIAMI BEACH entered into a lease
agreement with the AMERICAN CHEMICAL SOCIETY dated May 31, 1977,
and
WHEREAS, said AMERICAN CHEMICAL SOCIETY has requested •
an amendment to said existing lease agreement to provide that
they will add Sunday, September 10, 1978, for use of the South
Hall Meeting Rooms of the Miami Beach Convention Center at a
cost of Six Hundred Dollars ($600.00) , making the total cost
One Thousand Eight Hundred Dollars ($1, 800.00) , and
WHEREAS, all other terms and conditions of the existing
agreement shall remain the same, except Payments shall read as
follows :
• "One Thousand and no/100 Dollars ($1,000.00) payable on
signing of contract; Two Thousand and no/100 Dollars
($2, 000.00) payable on or before June 7, 1978; Six
Thousand Two Hundred and no/100 Dollars ($6,200.00)
payable on or before July 7, 1978; (all of the fore-
going payments have been received) ; Six Hundred and
no/100 Dollars ($600.00) payable on or before
September 7, 1978; balance by 5 :00 p.m. , September 20,
1978. "
and
WHEREAS, an Amendment to Agreement by and between
AMERICAN CHEMICAL SOCIETY and the CITY OF MIAMI BEACH has been
mailed to and accepted by said AMERICAN CHEMICAL SOCIETY, dated
August 31, 1978, and
WHEREAS, said Amendment to Agreement has been approved
as to legal form and sufficiency by the City Attorney; and the
City Manager has recommended the entry of said Amendment;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and City
Clerk be and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute
the said Amendment to Agreement as hereinabove described, in the
name of and on behalf of said CITY.
